Shopping Tour of Berlin's Kreuzberg, Route 1

Old-school Berliners know that the spark that set off the buzz about Berlin as a cultural mecca was Kreuzberg. For many locals, this neighborhood (concentrated around postal district SO 36) is Berlin, and vice-versa. This much-sought-after southeastern precinct is permeated by canals, graffiti, and the open-air freedoms of Görlitzer Park. The close-knit feeling of the “kiez” infuses the colorful, home-grown boutiques, which hawk everything from understated luxuries to vintage treasures. Spend 3.5 hours exploring the shops of one of the city’s most jealously guarded territories and getting a feeling for “the real Berlin.” We’ll make between 5 and 8 stops where you can see, try on, and purchase items, and we’ll finish at a food market that puts all others to shame!
