Shopping Tour of Berlin's Friedrichshain, Route 1

Looking for young Leftist fashion? Not far from the former squat houses and burnt-out cars of Rigaer Straße, this never-dull neighborhood is home to some of the cleverest shops and most creative street-style in Berlin. The spirit of anarchy, DIY, and hardscrabble punk is alive and kicking in this wild ward that’s teeming with the energy of youth. Whether you seek to relive the glory days of the DDR or dance the night away at nightclub Berghain, this tour of some of the best vintage boutiques of one of the city’s harder, grittier quarters will show you that the German capital hasn’t lost its edge. Over the course of 3.5 hours, we’ll stop at between 5 and 8 amazing outposts of the hip and fabulous and finish at a café where you can get a coffee and something sweet while you rest, relax, and review your purchases!
